Bodies That Matter
We live in the Anthropocene, the age of man. We are exerting a massive impact on our environment, but these changes do not leave us humans unscathed either. The past few years in particular have been marked by profound ecological, technological, cultural and political transformation and we – as humans – are forced to deal with it as individuals, but also must address it as society.
This exhibition “Bodies That Matter” presents distinct positions that make reference to body and space as medium of these transformative processes, elucidating how our bodies react to technological change, how perception of human bodies is altered, and how our bodies shape and politicize the environment.
